Work - Experience - Projects
FIRE: I started my professional fire service career in October of 2008. I became a paramedic in 2009, and a field training officer in 2012. I was an EMS Educator for the paramedic program from 2012 until 2015. Along the way, I have participated in Accreditation by utilizing PowerBI to perform data analytics. Currently, I act as technology translator and data analyst for Fire Administration while still actively practicing paramedicine on Siesta Key at Fire Station 13.DevOps: In 2016, I started developing a program to get our department off paper forms and transitioning to digital. I, along with several partners, created StatPortals. I was the lead developer while also running the dev ops pipeline. The journey of StatPortals went from Wordpress -> Vue w/ Django backend -> Vue w/ NodeJs -> Mongo -> Postgres and finally VPS deployment to Kubernetes.I have written, and rewritten every line of code in the repo while running/learning DevOps the whole time. StatPortals has been licensed and in production since 2018, when we signed our first client.I have helped create several other products, including one for a comic industry authentication company, where I developed a new way to validate signatures using QR codes and photos, and an interactive website site for a small publishing company.Dev/Platforms/Software I am comfortable with:

About
I was originally born in Ohio, in a suburb of Cleveland. I moved to Florida at 19 to pursue a career in a place with warmer weather.
When I am not working on one of my many projects, I enjoy traveling with my family, and I prefer to go anywhere that we can hike or fish!
Hobbies include woodworking, playing guitar and drums, reading, and occasionally video games when the kids will let me play with them.
